The Codes

Code 1: Pre-Code
This code indicates in advance what the following message or communication is about. Like putting the question mark at the beginning of the sentence in Spanish.

Code 2: Attention Directing
Thinking tools for deliberately directing attention in order to improve perception, where ninety per cent of the errors of thinking occur.

Code 3: Action Code
A quick code which is directed at action. Communication with others or oneself.

Code 4: DifficuIt Situations
The code classifies certain types of difficult situation so that these can be perceived and communicated. For example, a difficult environment in which to work.

Code 5: Response Code
A simplified and direct way of responding to inquiries, requests and questions. The code expresses the reply in a short manner.

Code 6: Interaction (Frantic) Code
A short code especially for dealing with 'frantic' situations between people. The code defuses the situation and removes the conflict element.

Code 7: Information Code
The code classifies types of information so we know what to expect and what to look for amongst the mass of information available.

Code 8: Youth Code
Youngsters sometimes find it difficult to express awkward and embarrassing situations. The code provides a means which is neutral and comprehensive. Can be used either way between adults and youngsters.

Code 9: Meetings
A code which allows participants at a meeting to signal their thoughts and feelings visually to the speaker so the speaker knows how they are reacting.

Code 10: Mood Code
People show their moods with facial expressions, tone of voice, behaviour and bad temper. The code provides a means of communicating a wide range of moods in a direct and quiet manner.

Code 11: Distance Code
This is a fun code which allows people to get to know each other at a distance through using the hand signals which carry code 11.

Code 12: Relationships Start
The code signals different messages, intentions and moods at the start of a relationship. Instead of fumbling for words, the code provides clarity between the parties.

Code 13: Relationships Continue
This code signals situations , moods and intentions in the course of an ongoing relationship. There are things which are difficult to express with word, but easy with a situation code.

Code 14: Relationships End
The relationship is coming to an end. The relationship is breaking up. These are difficult times. The way things are expressed become very important. The code takes over that role.

Code 15: Negotiation Code
In the course of a negotiation there are things each party might want to say to each other. This code formulises some of these requests so that they become part of the negotiation process. This removes tension and aggression.

Code 16: Assessment
This code deals with the assessment of people. It is a simple and impersonal way of commenting  on performance; of praising good performance, and noting bad performance.

Pre-Code 17: Project Status
How is the project doing? what is holding things up? The code formulises, and simplifies communication about the status of a project.

Code 18: Travel Code
This code deals with basic requests that might need to be made across a language  barrier in the course of travel; seeking accommodation; needing medical help; advice on entertainment, etc.
