9/3
Get to the point. What do you propose? What do you want to see happen? What is the concrete suggestion?
Occasionally, presentations are a report on what has happened. They may also be an exploration of a field with no further intention than understanding of the current situation. More often, presentations have some proposal to put forward. Some change is suggested. Perhaps there is a decision to be made and the presentation backs one side or the other. Code 9/3 asks the speaker to come to the point. What is the purpose behind the presentation? Some presentations may state the purpose up front. Others have so much preamble that listeners have no idea what is happening. 'Cut the crap and get to the point' is what code 9/3 is all about.
