We need some creative thinking here. We need some new ideas. Can we try a different approach?
This direct request for creative thinking also comes into other codes.
There is a realization that matters cannot proceed unless there is a new approach. As a result there is a direct request for deliberate creative thinking.
Creative thinking is not something that just happens. Creative thinking can be worked on formally and deliberately ( as with lateral thinking).
Creative thinking should not have to "force" its way into the discussion. The door should be open. Once there is an acknowledged need for new ideas (signalled by 3/8) then there is an effort to produce such new ideas.
