What are the factors involved here? What factors do we have to think about? What things do we have to consider? What is relevant

This request is the equivalent of the CAF (Consider All Factors) attention directing tool in the CoRT and DATT programmes.
If you are designing a chair what factors should you consider?

If you are making an investment what factors should you consider?

If you are employing someone, what factors should be considered?

If you are planning a summer holiday, what factors should be considered?

If you are buying a pair of shoes, what factors should be considered?

Code 2/3 is very broad and comes into most thinking. Code 2/2 is a general scan around to see what should be seen.

In a sense code 2/3 is open-ended. You can always add to the list of factors that should be considered. There are the central or important factors and then there may be outer or remote factors that might, just possibly, be worth considering. There needs to be a practical cut-off.

As with the other attention-directing codes, there is a natural tendency to rush ahead with a plan or course of action without really considering all the factors. That is why this artificial instruction may be so useful.

Different people may have different ideas of what factors should be considered. This may depend on experience, values, or objectives. There is no one right answer. The code encourages "an effort" to seek out the factors which need to be considered.
