Direct your attention to the future. What might be the immediate,short-term,meduim-term,and long-term consequences ?
Code 2/2 is equivalent to the C&S tool in CoRT and DATT. It stands for "consequences and sequel". This was the tool, which the women executives were asked to use. When they systematically considered the consequences of women being paid 15 per cent more than men for the same job, they mostly changed their approval of the idea to disapproval. The interesting point is that most of the executives would have claimed that they always looked at the consequences of a change. To some extent I am sure they did. But being asked to scan the future systematically is very different. It is characteristic of these attention-directing tools that people claim to use them all the time. Yet when they are asked to scan systematically and formally the results are very different Having the general intention of doing something of doing something is not at all the same as doing that thing formally and deliberately.
