What is the time status of the project? Is it on time or what?
With projects, time is often taken as a measure of success, since the different stages of success have been given different times for achievement. So asking the time status is really asking about the success of the project.
A very successful project may even be ahead of schedule. That a fast job may actually be a sloppy job is not usually considered, because quality controls are supposed to be in place.
