This is more than competent. This is excellent. There is more than expected competence. The performance is superb.
If competence is the acceptable base then this performance is above the baseline. Occasionally you feel not just well but 'super well'. What has been provided is more than was expected or asked for. This is a very fine performance. On the scale of competence this is the top end. There is no higher assessment.
