15/2
Could you please layout your position? What are your needs and fears? What would you like to see as the final outcome.
This is a direct invitation to the other party to lay out their position. This might well have happened anyway or it might have been assumed that the position was well known. At any stage in the negotiation, code 15/2 can be repeated to get the wishes of the other side. When the wishes are expressed in very general terms there may be a need to seek clarity or more specificity. This can be done with ordinary questions within the framework of code 15/2. It is unlikely that the other party will reveal the full position. Alternatives and fallback positions will not be revealed.
