Are we treating this as an adversarial confrontation or are we seeking a way forward? Should we use the six hats approach ?

This code is more a reminder than anything else. It is very easy to slip into the 'fight' mode rather than the 'design' mode. The code is a reminder to get back into the design mode. Those who know the Six Hats parallel-thinking method could use it to speed up discussions. Sometimes discussions can be concluded in one tenth of the time using that method. On the one hand there is willingness to seek to work together to design a satisfactory outcome. On the other hand there are the actual thinking methods that are to be used. If people only have a repertoire of 'argument' and 'debate' then being constructive is not easy.
