How do you see the future unfolding? How do you see alternative futures? What sort of things are likely to happen?
There are two sorts of future. There is the future of the world around and the changing circumstances in which the agreement may come to be played out; then there is the future as it will be affected by the terms of the agreement. There may be best-case scenarios and worst-case scenarios. Both may need to be considered. People want to be protected from worse-case futures as much as they want to benefit from best-case futures.
