This is a general but deliberate request for the reaction of the other person:
"What do you feel about this?"

"What do you think about this?"

"How do you react to this?"

"How do you respond to this?"

A reaction is specifically requested. The type of reaction is left open. It may be a thinking reaction or it may be an emotional reaction. It may be an instant "top of the head" reaction or it may be a deeply considered reaction.

Information is neutral but a personal reaction is personal. The personal response may be from an Individual in his or her own right or it maybe from an individual representing a business or a group.

"1/4 we sell our Internet division."

"1/4 we join up for the summer vacation."

"1/4 our getting married this year."

"1/4 we raise the price on our luxury brand."

Reactions may be based on information, logic and emotion. The person responding may respond in a detailed way and give reasons for the response. Or the person may give a simple response without reasons.
