Pronunciation Usage
Where it is possible or convenient to use the term 'de Bono code' this is the most sure way of indicating that the code is being used.
In writing it may be cumbersome to use the full description, so 'dBc' could be used.
Instead of any such indicator it is possible to indicate de Bono code B by simply putting a '0' before the code. So 14/5 would be 014/5. In time this might become clear enough.
Code A will be distinguished from code B by having'00' in front.
In speech the numbers before the slash of code B are always pronounced as full numbers. The numbers after the slash are also pronounced as full numbers. So 12/10 is pronounced as 'twelve ten'. Code 14/13 is pronounced as 'fourteen thirteen'.
With code A each digit is pronounced separately. So 783 is pronounced as 'seven eight three'.
There is an international code for numbers that will be described later. This will allow numbers, which are already international visually, to become international aurally too.
